Tomei H Beam Conrods Set for 1JZ-GTE
Key Features
Engineered for Strength, Speed & Reliability
Tomei H-Beam Connecting Rods are designed for high-performance and race-spec engines, delivering unmatched durability, lightweight design, and precise balance. Ideal for high-output, turbocharged applications, these rods help maximize reliability at high RPMs while reducing reciprocating mass for improved throttle response.
H-Beam Design
Tomei’s H-beam conrods offer the perfect balance of weight and strength. After extensive development across platforms like Nissan RB/SR/VQ, Mitsubishi 4G, Subaru EJ, and Toyota 3S/1J/2J engines, the H-beam profile was selected for its superior buckling strength under extreme loads while keeping weight low.
Unique Two-Piece Forging Process
Unlike conventional conrods, Tomei’s forging process starts with two separate pieces to maintain optimal metal (fiber) flow direction. This method ensures maximum structural integrity, especially in the high-stress big-end area, allowing these rods to withstand tension loads exceeding 1 ton at high RPMs.
Reinforced Big End for Real Strength
A smoother shoulder form and refined design of the large end reduce the risk of housing deformation under extreme loads, preventing metal burns and preserving engine longevity.
Precision Mating Surface Design
The mating surfaces are precisely engineered to minimize distortion under stress, maintaining ideal bearing clearances even under high horsepower conditions.
Crankshaft Thrust Face Protection
The conrod’s thrust protector is uniquely designed to distribute pressure evenly across the crank’s thrust surface, preventing uneven wear and extending crankshaft life.
Optimized Small End Design
With a dual oiling hole system on the bush for improved lubrication, the small end is built to handle high loads without compromising strength. Unlike many aftermarket designs, the solid H-beam structure maintains core strength by eliminating central oil feeds.
ARP L19 Rod Bolts
Tomei uses premium ARP L19 bolts, known for their superior tensile strength and fatigue resistance. These bolts feature a lightweight, nutless design for reduced mass and maximum clamping force—ideal for high-boost, high-RPM builds.
SNCM439 Material Construction
Crafted from high-rigidity SNCM439 steel alloy with added nickel for enhanced tensile strength, these rods are built to endure the extreme pressures of turbocharged performance.
Nock Pin Insert
To prevent movement or burn damage at the mating faces, a nock sleeve is inserted in the bolt holes for a more secure, precision fit.
Ultra-Lightweight Design
Engineered to be as light as possible without sacrificing durability, reducing reciprocating mass for faster engine response and better high-RPM stability.
Includes ARP Molybdenum Assembly Lube
Provides consistent torque values and high resistance to heat and pressure, ensuring proper bolt stretch and secure installation.
